Get to know Hematologist-Oncologist Dr. Adam P. Siegel, who serves patients in Summit, Wisconsin.

Dr. Siegel is a board-certified and fellowship-trained hematologist-oncologist in practice with Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, which is located at Aurora Medical Center Summit in Wisconsin. He is also affiliated with other medical centers within the Aurora Health Care network, including Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and Aurora West Allis Medical Center.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of California, San Francisco.

Following his education, Dr. Siegel became board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study of the cause, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. A hematologist-oncologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma.
