Dr. Jennifer Romero has recently completed writing her first novel entitled Raine.  It is inspired by a true story about a mother who believes her adult daughter was purposefully killed for organ theft while in Maui, and no one wants to take her seriously.  The doctor engages on a long whirl-wind journey to help the distraught mother search for the truth.  The novel will be expected to be available in 2025.

Dr. Romero’s journey began in New Jersey, where she cultivated her passion for healthcare while working as an emergency medical technician and respiratory therapist. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgian Court University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art and Biology before pursuing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree at Nova Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her leadership qualities shone through as she served as president of the student council. Dr. Romero completed her internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, where she was honored as Intern of the Year and contributed to the American Journal of Family Practice with a publication on Isoniazid overdose.

As a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Romero is actively involved in the medical community, holding memberships in both the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She has dedicated many years to serving the medically underserved community in Hendry County and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. 

In addition to her medical career, Dr. Romero is an aspiring author. She has recently completed her first novel, titled “Raine,” which is inspired by the harrowing true story of a mother seeking justice for her adult daughter, who she believes was killed for organ theft. This gripping tale explores the lengths one will go to for truth and the complexities of human emotion, with a release anticipated in 2025.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Romero enjoys running, cooking, beekeeping, and writing. A culinary enthusiast, she plays a crucial role in developing recipes for Artha Origins. She finds joy in family time with her three children and Charlie, her beloved dog, and cherishes vacations to the scenic Amalfi Coast.
