Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) is among the largest medical groups in the United States. Nearly 1,000 physicians and 600 advanced practice clinicians represent 48 medical specialties in more than 160 practices in the Allentown and Bethlehem areas. LVPG practitioners perform approximately 2 million visits annually in the practices, hospitals and other affiliated locations.

Inspired by his aunt, who had rheumatic heart disease as a child, Dr. Mannisi graduated with his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1980. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1983 and 1986, respectively.

Continuously advancing his efforts, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is also a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Medical Informatics Association, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and the American Heart Association (physician volunteer since January of 2014).

Interventional cardiology is a subspecialty of cardiology that uses various diagnostic tools and imaging techniques to measure cardiovascular functions such as blood pressure and blood flow in major arteries throughout the body and within the different chambers of the heart. An interventional cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases of the heart and blood vessels using nonsurgical, catheter-based procedures and specialized imaging techniques.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Mannisi enjoys running, cooking, and woodworking. He speaks multiple languages, including English, Italian, and French.
