Get to know Family Physician Dr. John H. Stasiewicz, who serves patients in Irvine, California.

An excellent Board Certified family physician, Dr. Stasiewicz is in practice at MemorialCare Medical Group - Irvine. He entered medicine because he felt it was a caring profession. He gets personal satisfaction from helping others.

MemorialCare Medical Group serves patients at multiple locations throughout Southern California and is made up of more than 200 physicians in the areas of internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatric medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, physiatry, and sleep medicine.

Dr. Stasiewicz graduated with his medical degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his internship at the University of Southern California - LA County Medical Center, and his residency at the UC Irvine Medical Center. He served as the USS Ajax ship’s medical doctor in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.  He was stationed at the El Toro Marine Base before permanently establishing his medical practice in Orange County. 

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor continued his education at the University California, Irvine to become a family medicine doctor.  He is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Dedicated to his patients and profession, Dr. Stasiewicz was honored by his patients with a Patients’ Choice Award in 2009, 2015, and 2016. He feels it an honor and great privilege to serve his patients throughout the many years, and truly values each one.

Dr. Stasiewicz also enjoys playing tennis, photography, church and traveling. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife Caroline, their 6 children, and 14 grandchildren.
