A top professional in the field of general surgery, Dr. Nguyen is currently affiliated with MemorialCare, tending to patients at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Nguyen graduated with his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, before completing his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in minimally invasive & robotic surgery at the UC Irvine Medical Center.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, gallbladder, appendix, as well as the thyroid, parathyroids, and adrenals. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall hernias, groin hernias, gallbladder disease, and thyroid related cancers. They follow the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care.
