A native of Nigeria, Dr. Onuh graduated from the University of Jos Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2009.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
