On the subject of his academic background, Dr. Kalia earned his Master of Public Health degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and his medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, India. After his residencies in preventive medicine & public health and physical medicine & rehabilitation, he completed a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Rochester.
