Additionally, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. It is one of the largest schools in the country, with two campuses based in the Twin Cities and Duluth, Minnesota.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Szeged Faculty of Medicine in Szeged, Hungary, Dr. Horvath went on to complete his residencies in pediatrics, anesthesiology, and critical care medicine at Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital in Gyor, Hungry. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Dr. Horvath is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the mission of the ABA is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.
Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine.
