Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Ashish Kabra, who serves patients in Oceanside, California.

Dr. Kabra, a clinical cardiologist, holds the position of Managing Partner at North County Cardiovascular Specialists APMC in Oceanside, California. His expertise lies in heart failure and cardiovascular imaging.

With his affiliation extending to Tri-City Medical Center, Dr. Kabra actively practices out of Vista, California. He derives the greatest satisfaction from his profession through the interactions with people and the daily challenges he encounters.

Growing up in England, Dr. Kabra earned his Medical Degree from the University of Manchester School of Medicine. He completed 5 years of United Kingdom medical training, becoming a member of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians (UK) before moving to the United States.
Once there, Dr. Kabra completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Healthcare Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He then completed an additional fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging at the Scripps Clinic and Green Hospital.

Subsequent to his training, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine. The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Furthermore, Dr. Kabra is board certified in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology™ (CBNC) and in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, Inc. (NBE). 

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
