CHI St. Vincent Sherwood Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Encompass Health, is committed to helping its patients regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Sherwood and serving the greater Little Rock area and central Arkansas, it is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital that provides inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Regarding his educational background, Dr. Collins attended the University of California, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1984. He later went to pursue his medical degree at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, graduating in 1989. Four years later, in 1993, he completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Cincinnati.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
