Does sunscreen prevent me from absorbing vitamin D?
Yes, sunscreen will interfere with your skin absorbing UV light to make Vitamin D. Here's the thing: there is no safe level of sun exposure. We live in an age when the ozone layer has been depleted and there is less tree canopy in most places. Just take your Vitamin D3, along with some Vitamin K2. I recommend 5000 units per day on the Vitamin D3. It performs so many important functions, you do not want to be deficient in Vitamin D! READ MORE
I have really bad acne scarring- will PRP Facial help get rid of it?
Any treatment that builds collagen in the skin will help with scarring, including the PRP facial. However, the type of acne scar makes a difference. The so-called "ice pick" type scars are more difficult to improve. You will need many PRP treatments to see improvement. I feel the degree of discomfort and the financial investment required to get minimal results make this treatment less than optimal. Your best bet may be an ablative laser treatment. A single treatment with an ablative laser should get you strong results. READ MORE

When will my burn go away?
First and second degree burns can take a few weeks to heal. It's not clear from your description how deep the burn is, though. Neosporin is OK, but you probably don't need it. A clean, new supply of vasoline or aquaphor will be just as good as it acts as an occlusive dressing which keeps you comfortable and keeps moisture in as the wound heals. Mainly just keep it clean and protected, so it doesn't get irritated or infected. READ MORE

It can also involve nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramping. There may be red or white color to the face or body. And there can be swelling of the throat or other parts of the body, as well as rash, hives, welts. Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment. READ MORE

My psoriasis is starting to hurt. Is there something I can do?
There are medications for psoriasis, which you could obtain from a dermatologist. Just for general health and psoriasis improvement I would recommend a gluten-free diet. Many psoriasis patients get improvement with just a gluten-free diet. READ MORE
Skin is itchy after sun exposure, what can I do?
Your picture looks like you might have lupus, an autoimmune disorder that often involves extreme sensitivity to the sun. You could also be reacting to a medication. You should protect yourself from sun exposure, including applying sunscreen every day, avoiding peak UV hours, and wearing a large-brimmed hat to shelter your face, neck, chest areas. Also, wear protective clothing over your body to prevent exposure. See a doctor about this because other organs can be affected by lupus. READ MORE
