Get to know Acupuncturist Tiong Ling, PhD, LAc, who serves the Houston area at his Peking Acupuncture Clinic. Tiong Ling and his wife Nancy and were among the first to be licensed to practice acupuncture in Texas. Both Nancy and Tiong have Ph.D. degrees and both have had the privilege to serve as president of Texas Association of Acupuncturists. They have jointly written and published three books including, Everything You Want to Know About Acupuncture in 1985. Educated in Chinese and English, both have learned acupuncture under national acupuncture experts in China. Tiong Ling, PhD, LAc currently serves his patients at his own private clinic, Peking Acupuncture in Houston, Texas. Tiong has maintained the clinic for over 36 years, and has made it the best and oldest acupuncture clinic in Houston. For more than three decades, TIong and his wife Nancy have been striving to achieve best-in-fee, best-in-services, and best overall Acupuncture services to the public. They have successfully broken city boundaries, state boundaries, and even country boundaries to serve patients. The Chinese calligraphy hanging in the clinic is a piece of artwork that was custom made in 1982 by a famous Shanghai, China calligrapher. The meaning of the four Chinese words on the wooden board have been an ethical model for many Chinese medical doctors to place service as top priority in medical practice. In Tiong and Nancy’s 36 years of practice, and with the ancient Dr. Dong Feng’s spirit of practice medicine in mind, they have done well in rendering acupuncture services with minimal numbers of treatment sessions. The specialty of Acupuncture treats several conditions including: arthritis, headache, backache, shoulder pain, knee pain, tennis elbow, sciatica, sports injuries, stress, insomnia, indigestion, sinus issues, mild depression, shingles, hypoglycemia, TMJ, water retention, impotence(ED), female problems, certain addictions, quitting smoking, weight control, stress, anxiety, allergies, and many nerve-related problems.
