Dr. Kulesa opened the doors of Northstar Family Dental in 2010. Inspired by the negative stigma that is often associated with a trip to the dentist, she has built the practice around the philosophy that oral health and cosmetic dentistry can be maintained in a comfortable, relaxing, and even enjoyable environment.
Born and raised in Northeastern Ohio, Dr. Kulesa earned her bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from Xavier University and went on to graduate top of her class from Case School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She was actively involved with the American Student Dental Association, on both a local and national level, holding a national trustee position for two years. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society – an organization that represents the highest achievements in dental scholarship, professionalism, and ethics.
Dr. Kulesa has devoted her professional career to all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. She enjoys treating every member of a family, from children to grandparents. To keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry, she exceeds the continuing education requirements of the profession. In order to better serve her patients, she completed an extensive sedation training program to become certified by the Ohio State Dental Board to perform both oral and IV sedation in her office.
Dr. Kulesa is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She is also an Invisalign Preferred Provider. Dr. Kulesa is an annual speaker at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Kulesa is the proud recipient of the Dr. Jeffery M. Gibbs Memorial Excellence in Dentistry Award by the Dental Network Group. She is passionate about her involvement in the community and is an active participant in a number of Westerville organizations and charities. As a result, she has been recognized as one of Sunny95’s “Outstanding Women” in Columbus and as a “Hometown Hero” for her role as a female entrepreneur advocate and her charitable work in the community. She has also been honored by Smart Business Magazine as one of the top executives of the smartest 50 companies in the region for their ability to effectively build and lead savvy organizations. Furthermore, Dr. Kulesa has been named as a “Top Dentist” by her peers every year since 2014.
Dr. Kulesa enjoys playing tennis and traveling. She spends most of her spare time with her husband, Steve, their two daughters, Sophia and Stella, and their adorable Pugs, Frankie and Rosie.
