Dr. Jose Bordon, M.D., Ph.D.
Infectious Disease Specialist | Infectious Disease
1140 Varnum Street N.E. PMB Suite 203 Washington DC, 20017About
Over the last 20 years, my interests focused on the holistic health needs of patients, GME and research. My favorite projects are tuberculosis, pneumococcal pneumonia, antimicrobial stewardship, HIV infection, and more recently HCV signaling. I have written several original manuscripts and nominated as a reviewer for more than 30 scientific journals. I accumulated important knowledge and expertise to carry the proposed studies on pneumococcal pneumonia, HIV and HCV infections. My activities also include building networks with community and government organizations to set-up new and/or to enhance services. I hosted 5 annual HIV/ADIS symposiums and 6 viral hepatitis symposiums with top nationwide speakers. Finally, upon the closing of Providence Hospital in Washington DC in 2018 I led the foundation of Washington Health Institute (WHI), a non-profit organization to serve the Washington DC community suffering from the epidemics of HIV, HCV and other health conditions by setting services for patient care, case management, training to students and physicians and research. My expertise also includes Ryan White grants, 340B program and other related HRSA grants.
