Dr. Anderson is a pathologist who is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is a nationally recognized center for quality tertiary care, medical education, and research. It includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute, the Norton Thoracic Institute, the Center for Women’s Health, the University of Arizona Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s, and a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons. Founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph’s was the first hospital in the Phoenix area. The hospital is part of Dignity Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in the West with more than 40 hospitals in Arizona, California, and Nevada.  

Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in 1979. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of Arizona, and an additional residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Dr. Anderson is board certified in anatomic pathology & clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, is to serve the public and advance the profession of pathology by setting certification standards and promoting lifelong competency of pathologists.
