Dr. Glenn is a board-certified general surgeon with experience in acute and trauma services. Her areas of expertise include general surgery, acute care / emergency surgery, trauma surgery, laparoscopic / robotic surgery, and wound care / hyperbaric medicine. 

A veteran of the US Army, she served as both a nurse during Desert Storm and a surgeon in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. During her time with the Army, Dr. Glenn had the opportunity to join international surgical aid missions in Central and South America. After completing her military service, she was appointed a faculty position at the University of Oklahoma, teaching Trauma and Critical Care at the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, prior to relocation back to Colorado.

Performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures, she is accepting patients at Peak Surgical & Wound Care, located at Centennial Medical Center, a Division of the Medical Center of Aurora. She performs surgeries at: Centennial Medical Center, Surgery Center of the Rockies, Aurora Medical Center, Skyridge Medical Center, and North Suburban Medical Center.

Providing quality surgical and wound care, services offered at Peak Surgical & Wound Care include: general surgery (elective general surgical procedures, semi-elective and urgent surgery, and minimally invasive procedures), minor procedures (procedures under local or minimal anesthesia such as lipoma or other mass excision, biopsy or removal of skin lesions, and scar revision) & wound care and hyperbarics.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Glenn graduated with her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1997. She then went on to perform her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2005, and her fellowship in surgical critical care with Denver Health/University of Colorado in 2014.

With years of experience, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Glenn is a member of the Association for Academic Surgery, the Association of Surgical Education, the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Student Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Midwest Surgical Association, and the Western Surgical Association.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease. They follow the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care.
