Dr. Ball completed his medical degree from University of Mississippi Medical Center.  After obtaining his Medical Degree Dr. Ball completed an internship from the University of Alabama Hospital, a residency at the University and a fellowship at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ball served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham.  Dr. Ball currently practices with Northeast Medical Group, and is affiliated with St. Vincent's Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital. Within the Northeast Medical Group she works as an Internist and Infectious Disease specialist within the Pri-Medical branch. A hematologist-oncologist who is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma. They will be trained in hematology, the study of blood and oncology, the study of cancer, but will specialize in treating blood cancers, such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphomas, leukemias and multiple myelomas. A hematologist-oncologist may also specialize in the management of solid tumors.
