Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Lavanya A. Cherukuri, who serves patients in Flint, Michigan.

Dr. Cherukuri is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is currently serving patients at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. From its founding in 1908, Hurley Medical Center has devoted itself to bringing innovative, leading-edge technology and medical services to Flint and Genesee County. From expertly trained physicians and nurses to highly innovative technology to state-of-the art facilities, Hurley is widely recognized as a medical center of exceptional excellence.

Dr. Cherukuri is also affiliated with Genesys Regional Medical Center and McLaren Flint.

Dr. Cherukuri earned her medical degree from Kurnool Medical College. She then went on to complete her internship at the same College, followed by her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hurley Medical Center.

Dr. Cherukuri is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). 

Dr. Cherukuri is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. OB-GYNs, like Dr. Cherukuri, specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women.
