Dr. Matthew Kozminski is a Western PA native.  He is also a US Army combat veteran and served with the 9th Infantry during OIF between 2009 and 2010 as their Battalion Surgeon.   His received exceptional officer review from his commanders, which included Army Rangers, West Point Graduates and the former West Point Chief of Staff.  During time in combat theater, he worked with the Iraq Army medical team of the Muthana Brigade and participated in Medical Council with the Abu Ghraib Hospital.  Upon completion of his tour of OIF, he was the Chief of Neurology for Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, which continues to be one of the largest military installations in the world.  During his time at Fort Hood, his volume for patients with headaches and traumatic brain injury was exceptionally high.  He became certified in Headache Medicine in 2012 by the United Council of Neurological Subspecialties.  He has been a member of the American Headache Society since 2005 and was awarded the status of Fellow Member in 2015.  He has presented multiple abstracts the annual American Headache Society Scientific Meetings.  In 2012, Dr. Kozminski completed his military service obligation but continued to practice in the Fort Hood region as a civilian provider.  By 2014, he returned to Western Pennsylvania.
