Prior to this, he was the Department Chairman of Anesthesia and Perioperative Pain at Rush Oak Park Hospital, an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, and the Medical Director at University Pain Center in Hoffman Estates.
On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Elborno graduated with his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in general surgery and anesthesia at Loyola University Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center.
