As a top specialist in pain management, Dr. Elborno is the Co-Founder & President of Elborno Center/Bellasense Med Spa in Willowbrook, Illinois. Bringing into play the latest techniques and modalities available in the field of interventional pain management, Dr. Elborno utilizes state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques which minimize patient discomfort while avoiding many surgical and anesthetic risks and expenses. His areas of technical expertise include, and are not limited to: spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, cervical and lumbar discography, percutaneous disc decompression, intrathecal pumps, vertebroplasty, facet blocks, nerve blocks, and joint injections.

Professionally, he is the Director of the Pain Center of Excellence at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Prior to this, he was the Department Chairman of Anesthesia and Perioperative Pain at Rush Oak Park Hospital, an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, and the Medical Director at University Pain Center in Hoffman Estates.

On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Elborno graduated with his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in general surgery and anesthesia at Loyola University Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, the American Board of Minimally Invasive Spine Specialists, the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine, and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the World Institute of Pain (Fellow), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of the United States, the Critical Care Society of Anesthesia, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, the International Anesthesia Research Society, and the Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia.

Holding particular pharmacological and clinical experience with an extensive background in pain medicine, Dr. Elborno is a national and international speaker and instructor for many medical device companies and pharmaceutical companies. He is also a national and international speaker in a variety of pain conditions, including and not limited to, back pain and pinched nerve pain due to herniated disc or failed back surgery. 

Nationally and internationally, he teaches minimally invasive procedures to other practitioners. He has also been a speaker and instructor for spinal cord stimulation and percutaneous disc decompression.
