Get to know General Dentist Dr. Alfredo M. Gapuz, who serves the population of Florida. Dr. Gapuz completed his undergraduate degree with a major in Pre-dental Medicine at the University of the East in the Philippines, before furthering his education and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the De Ocampo Memorial College in the Philippine in 1980, giving him over three decades of experiences in his field. After practicing in his country for 6 years he then relocated to the United States where he took the national board and license, and he received his license in 1992. Furthering his education since 1992, Dr. Gapuz has attended numerous seminars and continuing education courses at the University of Florida, primarily, and with a focus on, aesthetics, restoration and endodontics. In October 2003, he completed the implantology course at the Center for Dental Implants of South Florida in Miami, FL. Dr. Gapuz completed the Advanced Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry Program at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in 2007, allowing him to perform complex restorative dentistry. He furthered his expertise in implantology by attending the Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s course in Comprehensive Implant Dentistry which focused on all steps of the procedure from treatment planning to clinical implementation. He is currently pursuing Advanced Functional Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute focusing on neuromuscular dentistry. He has already completed the following clinical programs: Advanced Functional Restorative Dentistry, Advanced Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry, Advanced Functional Aesthetic Dentistry, Advanced Occlusal and Restorative Principles To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Gapuz has remained a professional member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The International Congress of Oral Implantology, The International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, The Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and The International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics he has also been inducted as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics. Dr. Gapuz currently practices within his private practice in Florida. When not working, Dr. Gapuz enjoys cooking for his family and friends. He also spends his free time gardening, watching basketball, and fishing.
