Dr. Payne is a board-certified dermatologist and a highly experienced Mohs skin cancer removal surgeon. He is skilled in cosmetic injectables such as Botox, Dysport and Restylane & specializes in skin cancer removal treatments such as photodynamic therapy, topical chemotherapy, and cryosurgery. Currently, he is a partner at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta, P.C., which he joined in 2007.

A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Payne performed his internship at Duke University Hospital and his residency in dermatology at George Washington University Hospital. In 2001, he was named as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. After his naval service, he went on to work as the Department Head of Dermatology at Naval Hospital Jacksonville.
Specializing in skin care from head to toe, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
An expert in his field, Dr. Payne maintains active memberships with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He has hospital affiliations with Northside Hospital Forsyth and Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta.
