Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Abdussami Hadi, who serves patients throughout the State of New York.

As a board-certified physiatrist, Dr. Hadi aims to help patients in their rehabilitation programs and to help them restore the functionality of their musculoskeletal system. He practices at Hadi Medical Group, serving patients within the offices in Brooklyn, Hempstead, and Long Beach in New York.

Hadi Medical Group is a multi-specialty practice that includes family medicine, pediatrics, interventional pain, and addiction management. The staff offer a wide variety of exceptional medical and healthcare services. Their goal is to provide individualized and personalized care for every patient, while providing a more comfortable and pleasing environment. They are committed to providing patients with medical options that cater to their specific medical and healthcare needs with four offices throughout the state of New York, including Brooklyn, Hempstead, Long Beach, and Plainview. 

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Hadi serves as an Associate Professor at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. 

The doctor is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Medical Association.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from the Sophie Davis, City College of New York in 2007, Dr. Hadi went on to obtain his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 2009. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2010, followed by his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at NYU Langone Medical Center in 2013. 

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. 

On the subject of his philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Hadi has served as a volunteer at the Islamic Center of Long Island since 2003, planning, organizing, and coordinating in fundraising and similar events. 

Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball and football, as well as spending time with family and friends.
