Kim Cherry holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania in both acupuncture and nutrition. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Therapeutic Herbalism. The National Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) has awarded Kim the status of Diplomat. Kim enjoys practicing a wide variety of acupuncture techniques. In this way, she is able to match the right style with the right person. Kim is trained to evaluate and recommend nutrition, herbs and supplements based on scientific studies as well as traditional usage. The combination of acupuncture, herbs, nutritional advice and coaching help patients on many levels. Kim specializes in pain management, fertility, digestion, and stress. Kim holds certification in NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique), Acupuncturists without Borders (Trauma), and Facial Rejuvenation (Virginia Doran). Kim has also studied Worsely Five Element Acupuncture with Lonny Jarrett, and pain relief with Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan. In 2013 Kim won the Provost award at Maryland University of Integrated Health for her research poster on Parkinson’s Disease.
