Get to know Dentist Dr. Matthew Standridge, who serves the Yates Center, Kansas area at his private practice. Dr. Standridge attended college at Wichita State University and then attended the UMKC School of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Standridge worked in public health in Missouri and Kansas. He continued his studies with a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and went on to learn more advanced services such as cosmetics, orthodontics, and dental implants. Currently, Dr. Standridge owns and operates his own private dental clinic: Yates Center Dental. Additionally, he has a passion for wellness and ancestral health which lead him to becoming the first Certified Primal Health Coach in the state of Kansas. Dr. Standridge has also been featured on multiple dental and health podcasts and interviews, and has started coaching and lecturing to other dentists and is also a Certified Fitness Trainer. To keep up-to-date with developments in his field, Dr. Standridge maintains a professional membership in the Academy of General Dentistry. His dental practice is located in rural Kansas, an often underserved area of the United States. He offers his services to those who may not otherwise have access to the type of care he is able to provide. General dentists provide a wide array of services that are vital to patients’ continued health. These services include: preventive services — helping to maintain good oral health by stopping disease before it takes hold in the mouth; restorative services — receiving timely and appropriate treatment when a problem is identified; as well as cosmetic services — performing a range of cosmetic procedures, such as teeth whitening, cosmetic bonding – even porcelain veneers. General dentists also address overall health concerns, as oral health is seen as the mirror of general health. In fact, some dental problems may reflect issues in other parts of the body and vice versa. Dr. Standridge enjoys serving his community in more ways than one. In addition to his dental practice, he uses his expertise to improve a person’s overall health and wellness. He is working to champion dental health reforms through policy changes from the top down, and he provides patients with expert-level dental advice.
