Get to know Anesthesiologist Calvin Alexander Eng, who serves the population of Watertown, New York at Samaritan Medical Center.

Dr. Eng received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his residency at the University of Washington and did his fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Eng has over 16 years of experience in the field of medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in several states, including New York, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia.

Currently, Dr. Eng works at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York. He is also affiliated with the University Hospital S U N Y Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York. Here, as well as his previous places of employment, he has shared his expertise in Regional Anesthesia to enhance Anesthetic care plans for patients through teaching and personally performing procedures. Since completing his training, Dr. Eng has been a speaker at various Regional Anesthesia Conferences and Workshops, imparting his knowledge and strong interest in this subspecialty. Dr. Eng is noted for his vast repertoire of Ultrasound-guided nerve block techniques to offer many patients undergoing various types of surgery.

He relishes the opportunities to comfort pre-operative patients through an Ultrasound-guided nerve block to ultimately see a cheerful, contented post-operative patient.
