Academically, Dr. Mangar earned his medical degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse in 1985 and completed a residency program in surgery in 1986 at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. His interest in anesthesiology led to the completion of a secondary residency in anesthesiology at SUNY – Syracuse in 1990.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology since 1991, he is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Florida Medical Association, the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association, and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
Throughout his line of work, Dr. Mangar Dr. Mangar has published numerous abstracts and papers and continues to further his contribution through clinical and academic research avenues. He also serves as a Voluntary Assistant Professor for the Department of Surgery at the University of South Florida.
Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery.
