Great question! There are different answers for this question depending on how long the problem has been present and why it's there. In this day and age of computers and texting phones we abuse our neck a lot but getting involved with our screens and creating what is called a forward head posture. Creating the awareness to keep bringing the head back and bringing our shoulders down is the hardest part of the issue and it can take 3-4 months to fix if we are not diligent with our awareness and our exercises. That being said, if you are disciplined with the exercises given to correct the issue it can be done sooner. Most of us are not that diligent once the pain disappears we forget about our motivation to correct our posture. find a good practitioner that can help you become aware of this issue and give you exercises to correct it. it's well worth the effort! Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
