Dr. Mall is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon & fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with extensive training in restorative/regenerative orthopedic procedures as well as reconstructive procedures and joint replacements. He is the Director of The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis in Chesterfield, Missouri.
As such, he believes that to be able to provide the best possible care for his patients, he must be able to offer all of the available options and understand specific indications (including the latest non-operative treatments available) to best customize each patient’s care based on their specific problem. The treatment options Dr. Mall utilizes have been proven in the scientific literature and he uses this and his clinical experience to discuss options in depth and educate each patient about their problem and the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of the different treatment options. This allows them to have an active role in the development and implementation of their care plan.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Mall graduated with his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in 2006. He completed his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by his fellowship in sports medicine at Rush University Medical Center (Department of Orthopedics / Center for Cartilage Restoration).
He has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent conditions and has gained experience in this during his time at Duke University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and Rush University Medical Center. Combining these two interests has naturally made Dr. Mall a leader in the treatment of osteochondritis dissecans, pediatric and adolescent ACL tears, knee injuries, shoulder and elbow injuries, and ankle injuries.
Also, during his training, he assisted in caring for the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox amongst other collegiate, developmental league, and high school sports teams. He has extensive experience with professional athletes and will provide his patients with the same care that is provided to these professionals.
Constantly enhancing his skills and success, Dr. Mall is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (Health Policy Committee), the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the International Cartilage Repair Society (Junior Member), the Mid-America Orthopedic Association, the Mid-Central States Orthopedic Society, the Missouri State Orthopedic Association, the St. Louis Orthopedic Society, and the Duke Medical Alumni Association.
Specializing in regenerative and biologic medicine, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).
