Get to know Family Physician Dr. Nora O. Garza, who serves patients in San Antonio, Texas.

For over 30 years now, Dr. Garza has been working as a family physician, helping patients manage their chronic medical conditions. Having earned the title of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Garza is also a member of the Bexar County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. What’s more, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.   Dr Garza has served on the San Antonio Bexar County Medical Society Board of Directors and the chairperson for the Ethics Committee. She has recently been awarded the title of Medical Director for IntegraNet Health for the San Antonio market where she helps coordinate population health outcomes that improve the patient experience.

Her educational background includes a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a completed residency in family medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research interests include hypertension, diabetes, depression ,and the psychological effects of stress conditions on patient health.

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor.
