Atlantic Medical Imaging started in 1964 as a one-man radiology practice at Atlantic City Medical Center’s City Division. The goal was to serve the community by combining sensitive patient care with delivery of the most rapid, accurate diagnostic imaging services possible.

After earning his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1997, Dr. Patel went on to serve his internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1998. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2002, followed by his fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 2003.
With a focus on all facets of musculoskeletal imaging, he is board-certified in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
