Dr. Rosenbloom is a hematologist-oncologist who is currently serving patients at Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group in California. Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group was formed in 1991 as the result of a merger between two well-established medical oncology practices that had served patients in Los Angeles for more than 10 years. “We are a group of diverse cancer specialists that focus on the full spectrum of oncology and hematology problems. The Comprehensive Gaucher Treatment Center at Tower Hematology Oncology in Beverly Hills, under the direction of Dr. Rosenbloom, provides clinical evaluations for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Gaucher disease. Given the complexity of the disease, the Center utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to optimize patient care, beginning with genetic testing and counseling.
Dr. Rosenbloom is a native of New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Hunter College, followed by his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He then entered the internship and residency training programs at Harbor-University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he became chief resident in medicine. Furthermore, he completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Harbor-UCLA.
Dr. Rosenbloom is a former vice-chief and chief of the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also a nationally recognized expert on Gaucher disease and was appointed Clinical Professor of Medicine in 1988 by the UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Rosenbloom is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Dr. Rosenbloom has published 66 scientific papers and abstracts in medical journals. He has also directed several drug trials. Dr. Rosenbloom is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, UCLA.
