After returning to the United States, Dr. Knapp attended seminary school, planning to work as a missionary in Tanzania, but after studying for three years, he decided to pursue medicine instead.
His acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida in 1997. He then went on to serve his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in oncologic imaging and interventional radiology at the same educational venue.
An expert in his field, Dr. Knapp is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
