In fact, it is the only Level I trauma center on the East Coast corridor between Baltimore and Philadelphia.

A 1971 graduate of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Wetherill went on to perform his internship in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital. This was followed by a residency in internal medicine at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
