He has over 40 years of experience in the field and holds a strong esteemed reputation of excellence in care of his patience. He specializes in electroencephalography (EEG), nerve studies, and electromyography (EMG).

Neurology Miami Group offers a complete menu of treatment services, diagnostic, and management for disorders that affect the peripheral and central nervous systems. This includes specializing in stroke treatment and post-stroke rehabilitation, sleep disorder management, headache and migraine care,disorders of the brain, spine, nerves, and sensory receptors. They provide care for patients affected by chronic neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and myasthenia gravis.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Kovacs completed his medical education at the Semmelweis University of Medical Sciences in Budapest, Hungary. From there, he trained at St. Janos Hospital and Peterfly Hospital, before relocating to the United States, where he completed his residency in neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and his fellowship in clinical stroke at Temple University Hospital.

Prior to starting his own practice in 1998, he was a partner at the esteemed Baumel-Eisner NeuroMedical Institute in Miami Beach for over 15 years. He also served as a Director of the EEG Department at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. It deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of conditions and disease involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle. Neurologists are specialists who treat diseases of the brain and spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles. Neurological conditions include epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson’s disease.
