Get to know Dentist Dr. Drew T. Gripentrog, who serves patients in Glenview, Illinois.

Dr. Gripentrog is a dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Gallery Park Dental in Glenview, Illinois. There, he and Dr. Jason Rogers strive to promote, develop, maintain, and ensure the highest quality of care for patients in a comfortable and professional atmosphere. From preventive care to restorations, cosmetic dentistry to oral surgery, even laser dentistry and implants, they offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of patients and their families. 

Committed to providing excellence in dentistry to his patients, Dr. Gripentrog serves as a Clinical Attending in the General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he holds medical staff privileges. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

Striving to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field, he remains a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and various other study clubs and organizations. 

After completing his undergraduate training at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa with a major in biological sciences, Dr. Gripentrog went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, Illinois. He continued his education by completing a one-year general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he received advanced training in general dentistry, including oral surgery, IV sedation, implant dentistry, endodontics, and special needs dentistry.

Throughout his career, Dr Gripentrog has received many awards and honors, including the Academy of Dentistry for Persons w/ Disabilities – Special Care Dentistry Award, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award, and a Physician Star and Annual MVP Value Leader Award from Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Moreover, he has participated in many programs to provide care to underserved communities, including Dental Access Days (Evanston), Night Ministry (Chicago), Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center – Mobile Dentistry Program, Give Kids A Smile, and a dental missions trip to Jamaica.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Born and raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Dr. Gripentrog now enjoys living in Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, as well as spending time with family.
