Jonathan P. Greenberg, MD is an ophthalmologist, retina specialist & vitreoretinal surgeon at NJRetina. Dr. Greenberg has received numerous honors and awards, including the B. Dobli Srinivasan Award for Best Basic Science Paper at Columbia University, a National Eye Institute Travel Grant, and a University Council Merit Scholarship and Golden Key International Honor Society membership for academic excellence during medical school. He has presented at national meetings including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. Dr. Greenberg has authored numerous book chapters and original papers in various peer-reviewed journals including Retina, Ophthalmology Retina, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA Ophthalmology) and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. His work has focused on imaging of various retinal pathologies, and he was instrumental in the development of a novel retinal imaging technique. Dr. Greenberg is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
Dr Greenberg strives to treat every patient as he would want his own family member to be treated, both from a medical and interpersonal perspective. He is married, has two boys and two dogs, and enjoys family time, photography and skiing.

Finally, he completed a fellowship in medical and surgical retina at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has published twenty papers in the field of retina and was instrumental in developing a novel retinal imaging technique.
