In regards to his educational background, Dr. Dorfman obtained his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1985. He followed this with an internship in internal medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Medical College of Virginia. He then spent seven years on faculty at Case Western University, teaching residents and caring for patients at MetroHealth Medical Center, before moving on to private practice at Omni Orthopaedics.
Providing a multidisciplinary approach to care, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
