  • How long is the recovery from a cataract surgery?

It all depends on the amount of astigmatism that she naturally has in her corneas. If she has astigmatism, then her vision may not be clear without glasses, which usually are prescribed at the 1 month post-op period. Also, if there is swelling in the cornea after surgery, it can take 2-4 weeks to clear depending on the circumstance. You should ask your cataract surgeon as he would know better what is going on since he is examining the eye at each visit. Humair Khan, MD READ MORE

I had a corneal transplant with Dr. Khan and went from being blind to having 20/20 vision. I can't tell you how happy I have been with his care. Really great surgeon and finish but also great person!

Dr. khan did my cataract surgeries and now I can see 20/20 far away and 20/20 reading close up. I paid extra for the special lenses and now I don’t need any glasses at all. Surgery was so easy and took less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend him for my family and friends.

Dr Khan has been very kind, professional, very knowledgeable of the eye. He did my cataract surgery and did well. My problem is that when younger had redial keratomy done & it left scarr tissue on my left eye, NOT Dr Khans doing. He has been so positive & has helped me with my cataract surgery. I would definitely recommend him to friends, which I have been doing! Thank you UTMB for a great ophthalmologist. Keep doing great things for your patients Dr Khan!

Super physician and great person. He really cares about me and makes sure that I’m feeling good. Every time I see him he makes sure to ask me if I have any questions and when he’s through with those he asks me if I have any more questions until I don’t have any more questions. It’s refreshing!

Office was great. Dr. Khan is fantastic. He diagnosed me correctly after 3 other doctors mismanaged my eye. I’m so glad I went there because I’m finally doing better now! :-)
