Dr. Artuso was the first surgeon in Westchester County to dedicate his entire practice solely to bariatric surgery and the medical management of obesity. The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
In addition, the doctor is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers, including St. John’s Riverside Hospital and Phelps Memorial Hospital Center.
On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Artuso earned his medical degree from the CETEC University School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic back in 1981. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship at Westchester Medical Center, followed by his residency at New York Medical College. He also completed a fellowship at Westchester Medical Center.
