Get to know Vascular Surgeon Dr. James Pan, who serves patients in Lancaster, Ohio.

Dr. Pan is a board-certified vascular surgeon, specializing in both minimally invasive and open treatment options for a wide variety of conditions. Understanding that each condition and concern is unique, he focuses on identifying a successful, individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Taking a special interest in cosmetic vein care and wound care management, the doctor can be found on staff at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. He provides his services at The Wound Clinic and is also a part of Fairfield Healthcare Professionals.

Formed for the purpose of providing healthcare services in Fairfield and contiguous counties, Fairfield Healthcare Professionals is a multi-specialty medical group owned and operated by Fairfield Medical Center. The Wound Clinic at Fairfield Medical Center has the ability to care for a wide variety of wound types, including those associated with: acute skin tears, diabetic foot ulcers, chronic venous insufficiency (with or without ulceration), hidradenitis, lymphedema, first and second-degree burns, MRSA infections, arterial insufficiency, and any general skin condition associated with the formation of wounds.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Pan graduated with his medical degree from the School of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2007. He then went on to perform his residency in general surgery at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, followed by his fellowship in vascular surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, he is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, or arteries, veins and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. A vascular surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions in the arteries and veins, also called the blood vessels. These specialists treat a range of health problems, from spider and varicose veins to life-threatening aneurysms, and can help patients manage chronic conditions throughout their lives.
