On the subject of his educational background, he is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Along with his outstanding performance on the National Dental Boards, he was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for outstanding achievement in restorative dentistry. He was also awarded the Senior Student Award for outstanding achievement in the field of dental anesthesiology, along with his induction in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Upon graduation, he was inducted into the United States Air force. He received his postgraduate training while stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D. C. His rotations also included the Pentagon along with Andrews’ Air Force Base. While there, he helped to train other dentists during their advanced general dentistry residency program. He achieved the rank of Captain and was honorably discharged from service in 1995.
Recognized as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Dr. Frye is also a member of many dental organizations, including the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Dental Association, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry, and the Pittsburgh Dental Network. He further advances his dental training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) in the fields of functional and cosmetic dental reconstruction.
