An established radiation oncologist, Dr. Vern-Gross is affiliated with Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. After working for several years as a palliative care specialist, she completed a residency in radiation oncology at Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2012, where she served as Chief Resident. Finally, she completed a fellowship in pediatric proton radiotherapy at the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute in 2014.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the doctor is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
To boot, she is board-certified in pediatrics and hospice & palliative medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases in infants, children, and adolescents.
