Dr. Ciocca is a board-certified pediatrician and dermatologist who welcomes patients at her private practice, Ciocca Dermatology, located in Miami, Florida. Dr. Ciocca received her medical degree at Universidad Del Valle Escuela de Medicina in Columbia in 1996. She relocated to the United States, where she completed a dermatology fellowship through the Dermatology and Aesthetic Center (2000 – 2003), as well as residency in pediatrics (2003 – 2006) and fellowship in pediatric dermatology (2006 – 2007) at at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. She then joined the pediatric dermatology practice at the hospital where she practiced for nearly 5 years before moving to private practice.
Following her training, Dr. Ciocca attained board certification pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics. The American Board of Pediatrics was founded in 1933. It is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. The ABP is an independent and nonprofit organization. She is also board-certified in dermatology with the ABPS.
Dr. Ciocca is a professional member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics – Dermatology Section, the US Colombian Medical Association, the Miami Dermatology Society, the Pediatric Dermatology Society, and the American Association of Physicians Specialists. Outside of work, Dr. Ciocca enjoys spending time with her family, traveling on occasions and reading. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Ciocca is Director and Principal Investigator with Skin Research of South Florida, LLC in Miami, Florida, which she joined in 2018. “Since the beginning of her training, she has participated in multiple phase one to phase three trials and is currently focused on special trials involving new breakthrough treatments for children’s skin conditions”, states the official website of Ciocca Dermatology.
