Acupuncture doesn't "fix" anything. Our bodies heal themselves. Acupuncture brings the body back into its normal balance so it heal itself. With an earache, it depends on the cause of the earache. I have found ringing in the ears or tinnitus to be tricky when I treat this with acupuncture. In my experience the cases who respond the best are the ones who started having tinnitus after an infection, such as a virus. I have not had success with cases who had been exposed to loud noises, such as continuous sounds from airplane engines, guns firing, and loud banging, as well as those related to a head injury.
