Get to know Dr. Raed M. Alnajjar, MD, a Cardiothoracic & vascular surgeon serving Clinton Township, Michigan. 

Dr. Raed M. Alnajjar is a Cardiothoracic & Vascular surgeon serving as the Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township and the surrounding communities at Henry Ford Health System. 

He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Jordan in 1997. He went on to complete Cardiothoracic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Heart Institute, General Surgery Residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland.  As a Cardiothoracic & Vascular surgeon, he specializes in surgical procedures of vital organs in the chest such as the heart, lungs, aorta, and more. With a subspecialty in cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Alnajjar typically treats conditions like heart disease, aortic and lung disease. 

Dr. Alnajjar is board certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. The ABS is an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1937 to provide board certification to individuals who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge in the field of surgery. Surgeons certified by the ABS, known as diplomates, have completed at least 5 years of residency training following medical school, met all ABS training requirements, and successfully completed the ABS examination process.
