Dr. Chella is a board-certified internist who is affiliated with Mary Washington Hospital – Fredericksburg Hospitalist Group.

Mary Washington Hospital is a 451-bed, full-service hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It is one of seven level II trauma centers in Virginia and was ranked 6th best in the state by U.S. News & World Report. Its mission is to improve the health of the people in the communities served.

Educated in India, Dr. Chella graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Government Medical College in 2007. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in internal medicine with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Shortly thereafter, she attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
