Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Belton earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University Schools of Dentistry and Medicine, and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Martin Luther King Jr./Charles R. Drew Medical Center. Later, he completed his preliminary internship in General Surgery at Fairview General Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic and finally a one-year fellowship at the Kaiser Permanente Foundation Hospital of Los Angeles in Orthognathic and Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery.

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). The ABOMS is the certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States and is recognized and approved by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association.

In his professional experience, Dr. Belton serves on staff at RC Dental Care in Rancho Cucamonga, California, as well as San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland, California.
