A specialist in nephrology, Dr. Kumin offers telehealth visits in Florida. He specializes in acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, dialysis, and preventive medicine, and is trained in crisis medicine. 

Four decades ago, he converted his practice to wellness and prevention with natural healing instead of prescriptions, as everyone is healthier with plant-based and restrictive eating habits. 

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Kumin graduated with his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine with the University of Pennsylvania Health System from 1968 until 1970.

He is a part of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which is a non-profit research and advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C., which promotes a plant-based diet, preventive medicine, and alternatives to animal research, and encourages what it describes as “higher standards of ethics and effectiveness in research.”

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys. It is the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists have advanced training in treating kidney disease. They diagnose and treat kidney failure, as well as help patients by prescribing medications, offering special diet advice, and coordinating dialysis care or kidney transplantation when it becomes necessary.
