    Hi! If it is truly an infection caused by a bacteria, it is best treated with an antibiotic that treats that particular kind of bacteria. Viral infections often can mimic bacterial infections and are not improved with the use of antibiotics. Of course, helping the body to heal also requires proper fluid intake and good nutrition. Having been in practice for over three decades, Dr. Ellington is a respected pediatrician who provides primary care for young patients of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. Since July of 2020, she has been serving as the Medical Director of Medical Dojo.

Medical Dojo is relationship-driven, no insurance, membership based direct primary healthcare. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Ellington graduated with her medical degree from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health in 1992. She then went on to perform her residency in pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1995.

Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
